I'm embarassingly ignorant of so much great music. I just looked him up on Wikipedia - he graduated from the Alabama School for the Blind with a BS in Music.

OMG Strokin'!!!! They played that song at my first wedding reception (12 yrs ago). I have the funniest video of my ex's nephew dancing with my aunt to that one. Good times!!

What caught me off guard was that its a sincere song - not meant as a spoof. Clarence means it.
