Update, Our n400 interview is on Monday May 16th in Sacramento we also have an pending i751 case I was concerned that we never got anything about our i751 case being ready to be scheduled for an interview or was approved.

As our i751 case was outside of normal processing time we made an out of processing time service request to USCIS, the Sacramento field office responded to the request on May 5th by email indicating that both cases will be handled at the same appointment.

I am not sure if the service inquiry or the pending i751 case caused our relatively quick (for the Sacramento office) interview appointment time just a year after filing the n400.

In any event we are grateful for our Monday appointment.

We had our i751 and n400 combo interview today at the Sacramento Field Office, we were called in about 45 minutes after our appointment time. The US citizen spouse and petitioner attended the i751 interview first, mostly asking questions to the applicant about the US spouse’s family, trips together, and a few domestic questions about our home life.

The US citizen  spouse was allowed to remain for the n400 interview, the interview went well and the petitioner passed the test needing only 6 questions. We requested a name change but the interviewing officer indicated that the Sacramnto field office does not provide that service so the application was amended for no name change.

The interviews seem to go well, the IO indicated that she was  recommending both petitions i751 & n400 to be approved and was being sent to a supervisor for final approval. IO was professional and was helpful with slowing down her speech to help the petitioner understand the question as needed, also engage in some casual conversation such as how cool a Chicago landmark is and asked how we anticipated using the tablet for the writing test. We indicated we watched YouTube videos of naturalization interviews.

Both interviews took just over an hour. We entered through security  at 12:30pm and got out about 2:30pm with both the wait time and interview time combined.

We asked the IO about the oath ceremony; she indicated that they are scheduled once a month (around the end of each month) and are conducted in Roseville. She also indicated we needed to bring the green card to get the certificate of naturalization.

So we await approval.

Just today we got two updates "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review". and also an update today "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".

So it looks like there is a good chance we will make the June 29th date for the Oath Ceremony for the Sacramento office.

Hi everyone, submitted online application early morning on September 1st and a few hours later my account had a receipt notice and biometrics reuse notice. Status had changed to Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS. Hoping that my case moves quick and doesn't take the 15 months estimated time that it is currently showing.

I was wondering what status your cases are in and on what day did they change to that status? Does the active review status mean anything for how fast the case might progress?

After 9 months of no updates since filing the application, received notification on June 2nd that interview has been scheduled! Looks like USCIS transferred my application to the San Francisco field office at some point (did not receive any notification about this) and that's where the interview is in the second week of July. Time until case decision on myUSCIS still shows 15 months, so I would take these estimates with a big pinch of salt. Good luck everyone!

Ii got approve  this week and will attend ceremony but my son who was interviewed first got stuck in "Interview Scheduled" and never get updates for more than 3 weeks.

My son was saying IO said they were missing  "PART of his file" and its the problem on their part so were not sure what it is. He was basically part of my application when we

were petitioned by my wife  when he was still a minor and he had to apply on his own coz hes 21 now.  Just stupidly interesting. Basically if i got approve he should

be approve too (his case is straightforward than mine and theres really nothing on his life history lol)

My immgration journey is now complete, becoming a US citizen today after nearly 26 months after filing my n400.

My oath ceremony was completed today at the event center in Roseville. Arrived at 10 am and we left at 12:45pm.

Stood in line for 2 hours before entering the venue and being sworn in with a group of 25 people or so. There were several hundreds of fellow immigrants being sworn in today there and we were all cued up all around the building..

My N-400 window will be open soon and local USCIS is Sacramento, I also have a pending I-751 in Nebraska (LIN).

Does anyone know whether N-400 in Sacramento will be booster to speed up to I-751 or likely end up a combo interview in the end?

My friend was lucky and got a booster from N-400 application, it only took 11 months for her to get the LIN I-751 approved instead of the average time 17 months…

I-485/765/131:

06/01/2018 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP through UPS, received NOA1 on 6/11. Received bio appointment on 6/15 and completed on scheduled date 6/29.

07/06/2018 - Submitted EAD expedite request with job offer, reason was financial loss. Received EAD/AP combo card on 08/04. AOS changed to 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview' on 7/24.

07/23/2019 - AOS interview was scheduled on 8/27. In the interview USCIS can't make decision because original K1 file got split up somewhere.

11/25/2019 - AOS got approved, received the actual card in mail on 12/2.

I-751:

09/05/2021 - Sent ROC through FedEx, delivered on 9/7, received message e-notification on 9/9 stated case was received, check is cashed on 9/10, NOA1 in mailbox on 9/13.

10/28/2021 - Fingerprints have been taken (Reuse).

01/17/2023 -  Case was transferred To Another Office

01/26/2023 - Case Was Approved

N-400:

08/28/2022 - Submitted N-400 online, NOA1 on 08/29/2022, with estimate time 10 months for decision. Biometrics is reused.

11/23/2022 - Interview was scheduled on 1/11/2023, it was a combo interview for I751/N400. Both cases were verbally approved. System hasn't been updated yet.

01/26/2023 - Form N-400 recommended to be approved --> Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

02/06/2023 -  Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed, Oath on 2/22

02/22/2023 - Oath Ceremony, applied passport the same day, with estimated receiving date in middle of May. ALL DONE!!
