Hi everyone,

I requested an update on my status because is post the deadline and after that all my files disappeared along with the status. Did this happen to you ?!

I filled April 2020 and got biometrics reuse January 2021. My office is Tampa. My status says that processing time is down and it’s been like that for two months now.
I’ve been in the states for ten years and I’m so disappointed with this process. You’d think being here, finished college, working in a Fortune 500 companies will make your case move forward easy because your a good citizen but it’s backwards.

Hahahaah sit tight. USCIS doesn't care where you work 🤣

The website update affected everyone. You can get in touch with USCIS, though I don't see them telling you anything worthwhile

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I know right. I know that in Europe it’s based on merits and here if you come illegally your given privilege. Why I say this you may ask, well my friends just became citizens thru dreamers program. Although I’m thrilled for their accomplishments it really makes you scratch your head and wonder lol 😆

No miss information. The parents came here illegally with their children and they actually got granted citizenship faster than many of us here legally. This is an absolute fact. I find this insulting because there is no conspiracy here.

But see there is no skipping lines. The earliest someone can get citizenship is 3 years after having a green card. For many others it’s 5 years. I doubt those children you speak of got their citizenship under 3 years. There is no dreamers program that is a quick path to citizenship.  You are misinformed.

What an incredibly elitist attitude, don’t pat yourself on the back too hard. Our immigration system works on a first come, first serve basis, if you wanted to skip to the front of the line, Canada and a bunch of other countries would have accepted you. As far as dreamers are concerned, they would have needed to adjust their status’ through a relative, and their green cards are just valid as yours is. You also may want to brush up on your spelling for the interview by the way.

Furthermore, things are difficult as it for immigrants in this country, having to deal with bigotry, and nativist sentiment from our own citizens, the last thing that they need is that type of attitude from a fellow immigrant.
