Hi VJ Friends,

 

i have submitted civil/sponsorship documents for my parent on 4th of January, but i didn't get any acknowledgment email from NVC that they got the documents or what not. the status has been the same since then. can someone please share if this is normal or should i be worried?

They don’t send you anything until someone processes it, either DQ or requires you something else.

They didn’t stop, and we know this because we keep seeing people getting DQd here, but they have said they are giving priority to non-banned visa types: “Please note, as result of April 22, 2020 Presidential Proclamation, we are reviewing documents for cases not subject to the travel restrictions first.” https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

 

Also, from same link, this is why you haven’t heard: “Current case review time: As of 25-JAN-2021, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 25-OCT-2020.
