So I filed my I-130 in Jan. of this year, and requested 3 expedites and had senator request some too. USCIS never looked at or assigned my requests to anyone. A co-worker of mine got a response in 2 weeks so I started looking at other options.

I had started already applying to jobs in other countries and one to the consulate in China as a way to be with my wife. After, reading a post from someone who filed at Frankfurt I decided to email them and ask and they approved me to apply.

I mentioned I already applied and they rejected me, but after pleading they came back and said they would make an exception. I asked them again just to make sure and they said it was approved.

I mailed my I-130 to them yesterday and DHL failed to deliver it today and I'm waiting for them to get it. I emailed them about someone being able to sign for it and they responded not to worry, check back Monday and it should be there and being processed. I also mailed out a letter to withdraw my I-130 from USCIS.

Hope that helps. I'm not through the process and I know there is a lot fo unknowns for me because they made an exception.

Okey intresting, they told us theyre not. Ill email them again though. Are you american and your wife german?

When did they tell you that? My husband and I checked by email with them if it’s possible in the end of February and they told us to send the documents after we got married. We just sent the documents end of April. I’m confused now and kind of scared that they will reject it.

Hello :) I hope you’re doing great!

Have you heard anything back from the consulate since you’ve sent your documents there? Or do you know if there is some kind of tracking? Or is it just waiting?
Thanks.

No type of tracking status. They did email me that they received my petition and are working on it.

I got everything done , i have my interview on the 20th of may " next week"  so everything is going well

Yes, yes. I understand that. That’s awesome and I’m so happy for you!
I just wanted to ask how it was when you first sent your documents, the I-130. Because my husband and I sent our documents April, 29 and it arrived at the consulate April, 30. I haven’t heard anything yet. So my question was, before you got approved after 5 days, did you receive an email that they got your documents or did they just send the approval? 😊

They will not email you that they have received your docs they only email you when they approved you

The consulate will or can email you when they receive it.

Probably more to do with me being paranoid about someone signing for the package. DHL went back and delivered at 10pm

Have you filled that out? We just got the instructions of packet 3, but I don’t have an intended travel date yet because I don’t know how long the whole process takes.
