I-864 Are 2019 taxes ok since it's January?

We're about to put our I-485 (Adjustment of Status) paperwork in the mail, which requires an I-864 (Affidavit of Support), which requires tax information (a transcript or copy of tax forms).

Since it's currently mid-January, I can't feasibly complete my 2020 taxes yet (and certainly can't get a 2020 transcript any time soon).

Will using my 2019 tax info be sufficient, or would that trigger a request for addition info (or outright denial) when the documents are processed later?

Just submit the 2019, and if you can do the 2018, 2017 in the I-864. You should be OK. Add a comment in the Additional Section that you will file for 2020, in the coming weeks, assuming the W2 is not available (You need to mention about that in I-944, whether you are going to file tax return for 2020). You may want to mention the 2020 earnings, in case the W-2 is available. However you should be good if W2 is not available. Just get everything ready for 2020, in the near future, in case you are asked for later submission.

. IT says on the IRS page that you can get transcripts 2 weeks after e filing.  I'm hoping to have 2020 in 3 weeks  or so..  I gave him CPA last info yesterday

IRS won't start processing returns until Feb 12.

I didn't know they don't process.  Does that mean they don't accept e files or mail prior?   Maybe 4.5 weeks to  can print transcript then?

You can E-file or mail your return, but e-files won't be sent over to IRS until Feb 12 and mail paper won't be touched until Feb 12.
