Cool. My fiance did her interview today in Nairobi but they gave her a yellow 221g administrative processing form. Hope they finish their review quickly. She said the interview went well and the officer reassured her but he didn't take her passport.

Am waiting on Nairobi too but why would they not take her passport,  am thinking they would need the passport for visa

Not sure why they wouldn't. But the form said if authorized, we send her passport to the embassy via DHL for stamping.

Prayers,  hope goes well and she gets to join you soon

That’s awesome based on the latest message from the embassy I thought they were only processing services for US Citizens. Was her interview scheduled prior to the shutdown?

Sighs...I'm hoping that they can start routine visas like ASAP...like this month or even next month!! It's been a freaking year since I last saw my husband because it's been so bad over there!!

They are according to the OP which is great news because the embassy sent out a message that they were not processing them. Hopefully Haiti can stay somewhat calm and they can get through the back log!! Have you thought about meeting up in the DR? If it wasn’t due to Covid and if we didn’t have to pay for his parents passports/visas/hotels etc that would have been an option for us but it’s too much to do with a baby right now.

That's the thing, our anniversary is in March and I was going to plan a trip but it's like what if they start back this month or next, that means he will be here for our anniversary
