Good day house, I have my interview today and all went well, I was given a white pamphlet for my right in US and also was given another form to submit my Waec certificate and my wife recent tax transcripts... Now my first question is

1. Does the white pamphlet means visa is issued

2 the CO told me to submit my international passport along with my wife tax return and waec certificate but he never tick it on the form for me to submit my international passport. He only tick the other two documents but he said I should submit my international passport along with it.

3 with different stories have heard on visajoutney DHL won't collect my international passport if it's not ticked on the form.how are they going to issue my visa if DHL won't collect my passport. Thanks in advance as you reply

Congratulations on your interview.

1.no it doesn't mean visa issued. visa is only issued when it is printed on your passport.

2. DHL won't take your passport(but go with it ) . They follow what was ticked on the paper.

3. When they have reviewed/considered the documents you submitted and are ready to issue your visa you will be requested to submit your passport.

hope this helps.

Congratulations.

If you don’t mind, what were some of the questions they asked during the interview? Did anything stand out? Any pointers? How was the interview overall process?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

Here is my observation

1 they drill Cr1 applicant more than ir1

2 I was asked between 6-7 questions and the CO lay more emphasis on my wife and mum pictures

3 I think ir1 get some kind of preferential treatment

4 the CO never even bothered to check our chat or wedding album he only asked to see my mum and my wife pictures

5 finally the fact that they drill cr1 applicant they still give them chance to submit more documents which at least give some kind of hopes

Good day house , I went for my interview on Thursday and I was asked by the CO to submit two documents to DHL which is my wife 2019 tax transcripts and any form of My ID card. I tried to show the CO my wife 1040/w2 form and he said that's not what he want. Now these are the problems we are having

1 my wife transcripts came few days back but it wasn't her name that was on the transcripts. She has requested for the transcript twice and both came with different name

2 her social security was not added to the transcripts since irs didn't get the name right

3 yesterday she called irs and speak with an officer who found out that her social security income was actually sent to IRS but due to their workers non challah attitude they forgot to input it in the system. My wife explained to the officer that he needs the transcript for immigration purpose but the office said it takes between 12-16 month for them to be done with it and send the transcript to her (that's a long time)

4 the irs officer gave my wife another option which is for her to download 1040x (ammendment form) fill it and get it notarized, send to me and I send toDHL

My fear is do you think this embassy will accept the 1040x since the CO even wrote it down that what he want is 2019 transcripts. Please your contribution Is needed. Thanks

Seems like it is the only option you have or 12 months wait which is not possible - so get it and send it. Add some sort of letter explaining things to the embassy it may do the trick.

Okay. I have mine interview for January. Just going through to get thing ready. Hope thing get fixed for you. Happy new year in advance.

OK make sure you go with all your documents to avoid 221g. Cr1 or ir1. If it's cr1 they ask a lot of questions and even interview you in front of others but iR1 they call you into a private room and it's just you and the CO. They don't ask much question... I was only asked 3 or 4,question and he said I'm good to go but he will need 2 more documents from me which is my waec certificate and my wife transcripts and I should submit my international passport with the DHL but he forget to tick it on the 221g form, when I got to dhl they refused to collect my international passport because it wasn't ticked on the form
