I had my K-1 interview at the Sydney Consulate on the 8th of December and I was approved (yay!) They said it'd take 10-15 days to receive my visa, but I was wondering if anyone, especially in Victoria, has received it earlier than 10 days at all.

I checked the status of it on the CEAC site yesterday and today, and overnight it changed from Adminstrative Processing to Issued, and checking my passport status on US Travel Docs it said that it is being processed for delivery, and I was wondering if that might mean I could be expecting it sooner rather than later? I'm super excited regardless! Any insight would be much appreciated.

Yes, that means you are receiving it soon. Maybe they are trying to speed the process of some before they close for the holidays?  Congrats!

Thank you! That's so exciting, maybe I'll be able to go on the date I'm hoping for after all 😍

When my visa was approved, I got it two days later. But this was in 2011! I checked the status of the post and it was in transit, pretty quickly.

Can I ask what date you put on your cover sheet as intended travel date?

I just put December 2020, no particular day. The interviewer also asked if we had a wedding date set, and I told them we do have a venue holding a reservation for us for a date in January, but nothing set in stone since the venue doesn't know if they'll actually be allowed to host us cuz of Covid, but they have held a date for us just in case. This process and Covid makes it kind of difficult to fully plan a date since you can't/shouldn't really be booking flights until you get your visa back from the Consulate, so I presume they understand that :)

congratulations, did you bring an express mail envelope to the consulate or was it sent out through MyToll?  did you have to sign for the packet at delivery?

I did bring an express envelope to my interview, but they gave it back to me and sent it by Toll instead. I wasn't asked to sign anything when it arrived, but I'd still expect to just in case 🤷‍♀️
