Invalid Date

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!

I submitted my N-400 and after doing my biometrics there has been no movement on it. Today I went into my account to check the status and under case history it says "invalid date case is being actively reviewed by USCIS". It also says there's nothing for me to do at this time.

Does anyone know what this means? I did go to get my biometrics a little earlier than my actual date but that didn't seem to be an issue. If anyone can shed any light on this that'd be great.

Thanks!

No worries to be had. I started seeing the same message "invalid date case is being actively reviewed by USCIS" a week ago or so, and today I got my interview notice. So maybe that comes up when you get close to being scheduled for interview.

For the record I filed 2 weeks before you did (LPR almost 15 years; in the US 20 years) and did my biometrics February 20th. Estimated wait time ran out in August and Completion date was supposed to be September and in early September, everything went to "we are taking longer..." and nothing since then. But as I said, after a little less than a week only of "invalid date case..." popping up, I just received the interview notification.

Hopefully you will too.

OMG finally I found you guys who have alomst the same biometrics appointment time as mine: Feb 22th, 2020 (fingers crossed).

I also just happend to see the "invalid date case being actively reviewed" and I was like what that means by "invalid date"? It did not seem to be there last time I checked though I am not exactly sure.

Then I saw ThaOne giving his own example, which does make me feel much better. Thank you! and I hope both you guys get your naturalization case approved asap!

BTW  I am from PA and where you guys apply from (if you dont mind sharing thanks)?

I think it’s a glitch, my daughter’s says the same thing. The correct date is reflected on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Hello SusieQQQ! I am wondering whether your daugher received the interview notice shortly after she saw "invalid date case being reviewed"? Thanks

She’s had that at least a couple of weeks and no interview notice yet. I don’t think it’s any kind of signal like that tbh, I just think it’s a glitch on one part of the website.

Thank you SusieQQQ!

It could be a bug in the system. In the meantime, if it showed up in the system, maybe it means your case is at least not being forgotten :)

Thank you

It looks like no matter what the case type is that’s showing for latest action on that page for everyone. If I look at case status online page it is same status but with the date. My daughter filed about 6 weeks after my husband and my husband got his interview notification last week so I’m hoping hers comes through in the next month.

There you go. I think your daughter will get interview notice soon.

Yeah but there are people with all sorts of other things at other stages with the same invalid case date message, it doesn’t mean anything imo

Ok I withdraw all what I said. And I am not sure whether your daughter will have interview notice in 6 weeks. Thanks

Yup still says the same thing for her and she is still waiting, longer than 6 weeks, like I said, it’s just a glitch on that page.

Means nothing. It’s a glitch.

Estimated wait time unfortunately also seems meaningless for most everyone too. My daughter’s switched over to “taking longer than expected” with no new days estimate

Same here. All mine says is "Invalid date Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed".
