Wooo hooo yeah they got my case yesterday also :D

I got my new case number.

@apgk did you talk to a real person also?!?

yes I did but forgot to ask the new case # :(

Will call tomorrow now.

I received my letter from NVC 7 days after NVC received it (4 days after it left NVC). You'll get your letter in a week and it will have your new case number on it.

called just now, the case has been sent to Embassy today.

She told me it goes by DHL and she cannot tell me how

much time it takes to reach the embassy. I also asked

for DHL tracking number, she could not give that also to me.

But anyway I am happy that its out there now.

Seen as our paperwork arrived at NVC the same time,I guess mine got sent out friday also. Yeah you will probably get your Pack3 late next week or the week after. wooo hoooo :D

Yes i think your should be out of NVC also.

Once I had called last week and rather nice operator told me "they dont keep K1s for long and get them in and out soon"

Wish this would have been the modus operandi at USCIS.

We haven't received our Packet 3 either.

I called the Dept. of State, and they told me that it has been mailed out by the embassy in Naples on July 6. That was 10 days ago.

And btw, our interview WILL NOT be scheduled before the Naples embassy gets the documents from Packet 3 back.

I think it generally takes a bit longer with K3 Visa though.

I'm not sure if you can do it with all US embassies world wide, but I know at least for the embassy in Thailand, I can just go straight onto their website and all packet 3 forms that are needed are on the site. So it isn't neccessary to even wait to receive packet 3, you just download the forms and send them as soon as you hear the embassy has your case...you might want to check into that with your respective embassy.

My Timeline

K-1 Process:

3/30/07 - NOA 1

6/25/07 - NOA 2

8/30/07 - Interview

9/13/07 - US arrival date

AOS Process:

10/5/07 - Married

10/19/07 - AOS application sent (I-485, I-131, I-765)

3/7/08 - Interview - APPROVED

3/17/08 - Greencard arrives

Removal of Conditions:

01/12/10 - Removal of Conditions package sent

01/19/10 - NOA 1

02/11/10 - Biometrics

03/16/10 - Approved
