started this topic and just wondering if any one can share about naturalization progress , especially in inland empire/san bernardino/california.

FYI, i filled an application on january 2020 for 5 years rule, got biometrics  done on feb 20. since then no progress at all, 

i also kept monitoring in another forum for people who apply in the same month. mostly. they have any progress, even their naturalization process is done. 

anyway, if any one having same problem/issue just like me, what is the best thing to do

Different FOs take different amounts of time. San Bernardino is currently listed at 12-13.5 months to process N400s https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I applied in June and haven't heard anything about biometrics yet. I'd also love to find other San Bernardino filers. There's a thread but it's pretty dead lol

I’m also a San Bernardino filer. I filed in end September and haven’t heard back anything. Would you share your estimated completion time shown on USCIS? Mine says Feb. 2021 and I wonder if it’s realistic at all.

before pandemic, it said " estimated done January 2021 "', but now, the time frame is gone and it changed to " we are taking longer than expected to process ""

are u applied for 5 years rule or 3 years rule, perhaps that is the different hehe

I filed in March for San Bernardino and nothing.  As has been mentioned the processing time is listed as 12 - 13.5 months.  Such a short span suggests to me that they are keeping fairly strictly to the processing order.  They are also processing much more slowly than expected as the processing times have been steadily increasing.  At this time I think that if I get an interview in 12 months I am doing well.

Yes, we should be patient but it's good to know about others in the same office!

My case went from estimated completion April 2021 to November 2020 lol and I'm applying on the 3-year rule.

My estimated completion time changed several times before sitting at September 2020 until half way through September when it disappeared.  There has been no new estimate since then.

Keep in mind that the processing times spans they give are where the majority of the cases fall. But there a still a large number that fall before or after. Frankly all this may have been reliable pre-covid but now it's really a lottery.

What is unknown is the number of applicants each month.  If memory serves the data used for the figures is 2 months old at the time the figures are released.  The last update was early November, so the figures are for August.  If we knew the number of applicants it would be possible to estimate how many are being processed per month, and thus estimate how long the wait will be.  Indications are with the (outgoing) government policies, Covid and the news on USCIS funding, the number of applications fell, but without some numbers it is hard to know how much.  I hope that as they progress the number of applicants for that month is reducing and so the wait will get shorter.
