Unemployment is an earned benefit

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

So in other words . It will not affect my ROC in any way if I apply for it ?

We applied for it and used 14 weeks. Will not hurt you at all. Unemployment is paid for by the employers, not the government (so they say. I'm sure they supplement when things get tough enough) and is not considered public charge.

Public charge rules do not apply to ROC or naturalization so collecting public benefits will not affect either application. There is no income requirements for ROC or natizarion.

The only issue will be some at time later if you wish to sponsor a family members (mom, dad, siblings) after naturalization then public charge history or income may have affect years from now.

Public Charge rules only apply to visa sponsorship like for a green card.

Why would it have an affect if it wasn’t an issue in the first place? Why would it be ?

Unemployment is not a public Charge. It is funded by business and administered by the state governments. If you don't work You cant collect. It is an insurance policy of a sort for when you lose a Job to get you by until you get another. Not welfare, completely different
