hi everyone im just wondering i am married and i am a us citizen now "naturalization former filipino"  and i am married to a filipina us citizen too "naturalization" i am divorce already and we got married in the philippines can i validate my divorce decree to philippines so when ever i want to marry again in the philippines.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Were you naturalized before the divorce?    If NO being you were both Filipino when married you would have to complete the annulment process.  If you were a USC before the divorce you should be able to get the divorce recognized, which is still a court process.

yes sir i am a USC before the divorce, but its more easier to get recognized right? i ll just show the divorce decree?

I have heard mixed info regarding foreigners getting married in the Philippines after a divorce, some LCR accepted a copy of the divorce decree.  Being a former Filipino I would, almost, expect you to have issues without completing the recognition of divorce process.   There have never been any clear answers to this issue.   I have yet to find any clear answer on any of government website either.

 

You may have to contact the LCR where you would plan to marry and inquire with them.

 Not what I said.  I said you need to ask this question to the LCR.   There was a time when that was all that was necessary for foreigner.   

 

You may have to complete the recognition of divorce, which as I said earlier is a court process, you will need an attorney

If you were married in the Philippines wouldn't there be a record of that?  How would you get married in the Philippines without a CENOMAR / having the foreign divorce recognized?

March 2, 2018  Married In Hong Kong

April 30, 2018  Mary moves from the Philippines to Mexico, Husband has MX Permanent Residency

June 13, 2018 Mary receives Mexican Residency Card

June 15, 2018  I-130 DCF Appointment in Juarez  -  June 18, 2018  Approval E-Mail

August 2, 2018 Case Complete At Consulate

September 25, 2018 Interview in CDJ and Approved!

October 7, 2018 In the USA

October 27, 2018 Green Card received 

October 29, 2018 Applied for Social Security Card - November 5, 2018 Social Security Card received

November 6th, 2018 State ID Card Received, Applied for Global Entry - Feb 8,2019 Approved.

July 14, 2020 Removal of Conditions submitted by mail  July 12, 2021 Biometrics Completed

August 6, 2021 N-400 submitted by mail

September 7, 2021 I-751 Interview, Sept 8 Approved and Card Being Produced

October 21, 2021 N-400 Biometrics Completed
