when will we get our NOA1?

Hello everybody! I am new here, me and my fiance filed for k1 visa through our lawyer around the begining of the month and we still haven't got any confirmation.... How long does it usually take for the NOA1 to be received? And i also read on this site that the NSC forwarded their k1 cases to California...I wonder if that's better or worse for us. Please help me if you know anything! Thank you!

NSC and TSC have been sending I-130 and I-129F petitions to CSC for quite some time now. The bad thing is that CSC is pretty bad about sending out NOA1s. If your check has been cashed, they more than likely wrote your receipt # on it, so you can check with your bank to see if they have a copy of it. Use that # to call USCIS if you need to or to access your case online.

Back in February when I sent in my case It took about 2 weeks. Recently though, due to some computer glitches, and backlog from H1B visas, NOA1 notices have been taking alot longer to get out. If you used a personal check, and its been chashed, you can get your case number off the back of it.

We filed April 30th and no update online since May 9th, nothing received in the mail either. When we phoned they advised they would reissue hardcopy, still nothing since that call placed three weeks ago.
