K1 and routine visa processing resumption is dependent on local conditions.   The covid hotspot in the world right now is unfortunately India

YMMV

Mumbai is saying they have resumed processing IR/CR and K visas who had cancelled interview appointments in March/April, as well as those who received 221g. They said they have begun emailing applicants to reschedule, but I have yet to hear of anyone actually getting a new interview date as of now. BUT....progress!!!

Others have been receiving emails with this information over the last week. Others have called the Consulate and received the information. We have a few message groups (messenger and WhatsApp) of those of us going through the processes now...it's been really helpful to stay up to date with what the Consulates are telling everyone!

Yes, unfortunately everyone is getting a different response. Today, a girl who's interview was cancelled for her K1 visa on April 17th was told by the Consulate she should receive an email in the next 24-48 hours, and if not, to call back. So again, information is inconsistent, but the Consulate is working on some K1 cases!

Does anyone know if Mumbai is starting up spouse visa appointments? I've only seen that they are doing student and K1 visas right now

Where have you seen that they are conducting K-1 interviews?   It doesn't make sense that K-1s would be processes, but not CR-1 visas.

Does anyone have any update on the K visas yet? My fiancé's interview got cancelled in march and we're waiting for K visas to be resumed. I'm just curious about those who get emails, what's their status now, have they scheduled any interview yet, and why the embassy is contacting some but not other similar K visa cases. I read so far that they haven't resumed them yet, so i wonder why they get emails about K visas. Thank you!
