Pdf editor

I'm trying to find a way to fill out my k1 visa form electronically.  I'm not very good with computers but I read that its preferred over handwriting.  I have no idea how or what program I can use.  Is there a free one?  Thanks!

I use FoxIt Reader to do most forms. It generally works fine. You can write-in to an I-129F as needed (this is not the case with all forms...some should be entirely completed electronically or entirely by hand).

Adobe Reader DC is the one suggested by USCIS. I have used that as well and it works fine. I just avoid Adobe software due to all the extra #### they install.

 

The form must still be printed and signed by hand (no electronic signatures), and mailed.

 

NOTE: You are not completing a "k1 visa form". You are filing an I-129F petition for a fiance/fiancee. Anything with a visa will only come into play after petition approval.

I use DOCHUB for work and personal. I link it to google docs / drive and have everything in the cloud.   The free version works very well for me - allows you to add and move pages.  The limit of pages per "document" on the free version is around 100 pages.  I have used it for all of our filings from I-130 to I-751.

 

The immigration clinic I volunteer at uses a commercial case management product - primafacie - and it automagicly fill in things and puts n/a in blanks - including dates.  I have to go in and fix things

Since the USCIS forms a form-fillable PDFs, you can use a PDF reader to fill them in; you don't need an editor.

 

I don't think anything other than Adobe Acrobat Reader is tested.

You can use Wondershare PDFelement to fill out all the fields even those that will normally be blocked on pdf when you answer yes or no to certain fields of the form...USCIS usually blocks their forms with security codes and you will get a warning  when you use certain pdf softwares to edit them.Nonetheless  I know alot of people that bypassed the code so they can answer "NA" to questions that do not apply to them....I know 2 on vj and they got approved.
