Hello,

I received the approval for k1 at the end of April, 2020. Now in August, my name is still at NVC, which i already have the case number to track. I called the NVC and one of the agents told me due to the covid, VIetnam embassy have halted the k1 processing. My fiance in VIetnam told me tons of people are sending request to expedite the process at NVC, and they have been approved. One of the ridiculous reason was the beneficiary doesnt want to miss the birthday of her fiance. I heard and laughed, but man they have been getting approved left and right. Can i submit a quest at NVC with reason being apart for 7 months and we love and miss each other very much? If so, how do i submit such a request to NVC to expedite the case.

You need to contact the embassy first as it's the embassy that has halted the process. Once (and IF) the embassy gives you the green light they will let NVC know so NVC kan send your case to the embassy.

Hello, can you request to expedite your case as soon as it gets to the NVC without them processing it.  ? I understand I have to request an expedite from my embassy but I don’t believe I can do that without my case number. Just wondering how long that will take now ? I’m a December filer  and we only just got approved out NOA2 1 week ago.

if I request it from my embassy and they ask NVC for my case will they then process it
