We went to office,IO officer didnot ask any questions for marriage. IO officer only wanted joint documents tax, account, photos , utility, birth certificate, passport etc.

In utility bill - we had car insurance, rental insurance, wireless bill but name on bill was different as it was under family plan

We gave all docs(tax returns, beneficiary records, photos , bank statement, credit card statement and flight tickets, insurance records , lease for all the years) we had .

IO officer kept scribbling notes on doc and asked bio and question from 485. Interview lasted more than 40 mins mostly giving docs.

At the end IO officer said you will get reply in mail. Not sure what to infer ?It has been few days no change in status.

Any suggestion in how many days we can expect reply or status update.

We were hoping to get approval on spot as we worked in same company for years.Wait is very stressful.
I just want to get inputs from others in how many days did they hear back ? Is delay in response is worrisome ?

i believe they can take 90 days to make a decision. Having the same job will not have any effect on a family based AOS. They are determining whether or not your marriage which they use joint documents such utility bills and birth certificates of children born in the marriage. All the documents you submitted appear fine, but they may need to further review the case before a decision can be made.

My friend and I both had our AOS interview early February this year, within a week of each other. My wife and I got approved same day, green card a week later, he got the same thing you did, a don't call us we will call you when your approved. It's now August and he still hasn't heard yes or no. He submitted an inquiry after 120 days and got the standard canned response, were working on it, sorry there is nothing else to do but wait. And he is past the 6 month mark from the interview, so it could be a while.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I got approval notice. I can see "We ordered your new card."

Will there any more status updates after this like "Card is being produced " and Card is being mailed.

Or I will directly get the card.

Your status may change back and forth a few times from “Card being ordered” to “Card being produced.” When the GC has been mailed you will receive a notice something like “We have mailed your new card to the address provided through USPS. Your tracking number is (insert USPS tracking number here).”

The case status shows the tracking number? I have never seen that, actually. I went back and looked at our previous cases and none of them had that. The only way we knew the tracking number was via it showing up on USPS Informed Delivery.

"On October 26, 2018, we mailed your new card for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by November 10, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

and

"On October 24, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

Edit: The reason I would be kinda concerned if the case status showed the tracking number is that the case status is accessible to the general public. Anybody can retrieve it with just a receipt number (and receipt numbers are fairly predictable...if you know one, you can figure out the ones next to it). This would expose some personal information to the public.

Was this via the online case tracker or some other notice (i.e. email/sms/physical letter)?

If this was the online tracker, my guess(?) is they stopped doing it...probably because of the information that could be obtained. Or because somebody could use that info to redirect delivery with USPS.

Online tracking showed the actual tracking number and the email said, “UNAVAILABLE” where the tracking number should have been.

im guessing you dealt with a supervisor who used to do these interviews but has been promoted and hasnt had to in a while thus it takes them longer so they just gather the information to keep it as short as possible to get through some of the crazy backlog im sure they have,
