well i finally worked up the courage to do another call (i get nervous,

that i'll get bad news so...) after a franticly sad call from my fiance yesterday.

i did my best to work the system for even the tiniest morsel of information...

and she told me that someone has been looking at the case...so it's on

someone's desk somewhere.

then she came back with the scripty:

" you should receive some kind of notice within 60 days."

BUT WHATEVER! she didn't hesitate or act funny at any point

in the process so i am taking that ridiculously small detail to

mean nothing is wrong with the case and i will get approval soon.

i also figured out (you all already knew this i'm guessing) that ,

although they give you the line that they cannot check your status

on the RFE line, protocol says if you have done a change of

address they can then access your file to double check that,

if they are nice, also tell you if everything is alright.

4/17 NOA1 (VSC)

7/03 Touched (updated mailing address)

7/07 Touched (progress?)

7/31 NOA2

8/06 Left NVC for Prague (!!!)

Yay!! I loved hearing that "nothing looks wrong" every time I called too. You should be getting yours soon, you and I filed so close together. :) I have my fingers crossed!

Divorced. To hell with him.

CONGRATULATIONS KENATE!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOO VCS............ I love to see movement. I was soo looking forward to seeing at least 5 approvals this week. In the past they seemed to process 50-60 a month...now it seems about half. Due to h-1 backlog??? Anyways, progress IS progress. Good luck to those still waiting....

So...any more news this week?

Looks meager this week.... :( I was really hoping VSC would pick up the pace a bit. Im sure many others were approved from there who aren't registered on VJ. Im just having a hard week. We haven't waited long....but the distance is harder right now. Good luck to everyone...and come one VCS.....show us what you are made of....

I do know I found an extensive explanation on the uscis website DETAILING the process of the petition at the service center...was very interesting reading. ALOT goes into each petition before we get approval. One thing I saw that MAY explain some delays is the name check in the BEGINNING of this process.....Some of the checks they do for just the noa2 can take up to 4 months!!!

Any chance you could find that link? I just want to read it but i'm pretty sure that name check is what happened to us, or at least that's pretty much what they told me.
