Hi! So my fiancé and I were approved for an emergency appointment from the consulate for her K1 visa. Does anyone know what exactly happens next? They said they would contact her shortly via phone, in which I just updated her phone number on the appointment website since she got a new phone. The only part we had left was the Visa interview itself (as well as her fingerprint and medical appointment for the interview).

You stay vigilant of the phone(hopefully they have the right number) and they call you and give you interview dates available. Usually pretty quick for the dates. The call can take some time

Thank you guys! Sorry for the misunderstanding too its not an expedite, technically it’s a “emergency appointment”.

It’s pretty much the same thing. Your case was already at the embassy/consulate as is mine.

We were approved for an emergency interview at consulate almost 2 months. They contacted us 2 weeks ago and sent an email saying they would contact us after July 15th. We have not heard anything yet.

How did you got an emergency appointment? I understand they are for critical emergencies only...

I just explained to them my pressing matters of my financial and mental health struggle. They requested documentation and upon review I was approved.

Hey I don't know if you have heard back from them again yet, but they contacted me today and set me up with an emergency appointment.
