3 Year Rule clarification

Her friends' confusion might have to do with the fact that sometimes the married for 3 years and LPR for 3 years align. For example, I got married 02/17 and I got my GC on 9/17 so the three year anniversary for both those things is in 2020. In your wife's case those dates are very far apart. Hopefully she will believe you without wasting money  on a lawyer!

You should tell her if she doesn't believe you, then do the paperwork herself.  Hate to say it, but I think you have some problems if she believes her friends compared to you.  My Ukrainian wife trusts me without question.  I do ALL the paperwork and she appreciates it.

You know it :)

Which makes it tough because they that they did it in a shorter time (somehow). Two are separately telling the same story, which makes it difficult for me to get through.

Thanks, and thanks to all who have confirmed this info as well. I really appreciate all of you.

She still doesn't believe me, but I think a little doubt is starting to creep in. Now she wants to ask an immigration lawyer. 🤷‍♂️😂

Let her read the USCIS website regarding this 3 year rule so that instead of paying the Immigration lawyer she could use the money for Naturalization fee. Or suggest her to join the Visa Journey and learn from here.

I think you hit the nail on the head. For them, it just didn't take very long to get the GC, and so it all runs together in their minds. I'm sure that must be what happened.

I have done all the paperwork myself so far and it hasn't been a problem. I wish she would believe me without question, but... :)

 That's a good suggestion, thanks.
