Apparently K1 Is not required for Canadians?

Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has used an immigration lawyer? I’m looking for one That comes recommended and I would like an attorney that has experience with the Specifics of immigrating from Canada to the US since it seems rules are different for Canada in some cases.

Removal of conditions.  When you are married for less than 2 years when you receive your initial green card, you will receive a 2 year green card.  You must remove the conditions from the card to get a 10 year card or to naturalize. The condition of the card is that you entered the marriage in good faith. For married couples this means providing evidence of a co-mingled life financially and that you live together. There are waivers for divorced green card holders or those that have been abused or are widowed.

The rules for Canadians immigrating to the USA is the same for any other country immigrating to the USA.

You don't need a lawyer. Canada isn't special for family immigration. Being in a relationship with a Canadian makes it easier for them to visit.

July 14, 2020 Removal of Conditions submitted by mail  July 12, 2021 Biometrics Completed

August 6, 2021 N-400 submitted by mail

September 7, 2021 I-751 Interview, Sept 8 Approved and Card Being Produced

October 21, 2021 N-400 Biometrics Completed  

November 30,2021  Interview, Approval and Oath

December 10, 2021 US Passport Issued

August 12, 2022 PHL Dual Nationality Re-established & Passport Approved 

April 6,2023 Legally Separated - Oh well
