I-864 tax question

Hi, this is probably a very silly question but after searching I can't find the right answer so hopefully some of you wonderful people can help. I'm the petitioner, living abroad with my husband. I am a stay at home mother so no income. I have 2 joint sponsors which i've uploaded their I-864 and tax documents already.

My question is when uploading my I-864 and tax documents - Do I upload my New Zealand tax statement saying zero income or do I add nothing because its not a US tax document?

There is no reason to include a New Zealand tax statement.  Just indicate $0 as your current income....and indicate why you weren't required to file the 3 most recent US tax returns on your I-864 (if you didn't file).

Kia ora! I lived in NZ with my husband. I am still obligated to fill US taxes so I filed. Because 2019 I made all NZ money, I had to mail out my return and with covid, my return has not been processed. I made a short letter about this where I needed to upload my 2019 Tax Transcript and I also just uploaded my NZ tax returns showing I made foreign income and put $0 on the I-864.

There’s no reason for 2 joint sponsors. They are viewed independently. One suitable one is all that they need.

Its my mom and dad so they filled a I-864 and I-864a

Hi, I was working and living in Thailand for the past 13 years. I always filed my 1040 tax return with a form 2555, Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. Just follow all of the instructions and it's pretty easy. I am also waiting for my 2019 paper filing to be processed...who knows when that will ever happen. Good luck.

Ah. So it's 1 joint sponsor and 1 household member of that joint sponsor. Yeah, that's fine.

That's one joint sponsor and a household member, not two joint sponsors.

What tax return information do I need to submit for a joint-sponsor (I-864) and household member (I-864A)? 

They both file joint-tax return.  Do I need to submit all the 1040 schedules for both of them?  Do I need pay-sub?

Her husband (household member) 1040 Tax Return, W2

A complete copy of a tax return will include everything plus the W2 forms

 

Pay stub is needed to document current income.  Tax returns are about the past.

"Pay stub" is singular.  One current pay stub.  Take a more current one to the interview.
