Hi everyone,

My visa is currently being processed at NVC (all documents submitted, waiting for review, more details below). From what I understand the next step will be to get an interview date.

I would like to know if anyone recently got NVC approval, and if so, how long did you have to wait to get an interview at Dhaka consulate after that?

Thanks in advance!

Case details

i-130 Green card for spouse of US citizen

NOA1: 23-Aug-2019

NOA2: 19-May-2020

NVC case file: 20-May-2020

No interviews have been given since March.   You file will remain at the NVC.  Once the consulate reopens they will issue interview dates and ship the packet to the consulate.

At least you have just completed everything on your end. That’s another milestone accomplished.  Next they will review and accept everything that you submitted or request more information before assigning an interview date. You still have a few months, meanwhile make plans for your spouse to come and settle life in the USA. Perhaps he can use this time to study for his written DMV exam or anything else that you think might be beneficial for him.
