Letter from embassy packet 3

Good day to all of you. I'm so so confused about what happens when case has shown "ready" at embassy. Will embassy contact fiance with information on how to proceed? I hear of packet 3. Will he receive this from embassy? He has not been contacted yet. please, help.

Yes, the CO will send the instructions when they open the case. It might show "READY", but the case is not open yet. Just a matter of time with the ongoing outbreak.

You can send them an email to get the document.

Thank you very much. I have been wondering. Our 4 months expire on July 4th.

Do u mean the NOA2 to be expired on july? If yes, no worries, the embassy will take care of it.

Hi @Mavan, just to get a better understanding of what you mean here - our NOA2 is due to expire June 9th and we've not received our packet either due to current climate. Does this mean the embassy will automatically renew this without any instructions from us? 

 

Also, on the US Embassy in London website they mention in the FAQ: 

 

"A fiance(e) visa petition is valid for four months from the date on which it is approved.  If you are unable to apply for the visa before the petition expires, your U.S. citizen fiance should furnish a statement confirming his/her intention to marry you within 90 days of your arrival in the United States.  This statement should be presented on the day of your visa interview." 

 

Would we still need to present this? Does it need to be dated and signed in wet ink or is a scanned photo-copy fine?

Yes, the embassy will consider the expiration date due to this pandemic. Please, call them to confirm.

Moreover, the beneficiary SHOULD bring to the to the interview the letter from both of you confirming your intention to marry within 3 months upon entry in the U.S (This is the same as the letter that you submitted in the I-129 application, but with an UPDATED signature and date).

We are all awaiting for the embassy to reopen.
