I wish there were an I140 section in the website and/or an employment-based aos section. The way the website is designed, everything is mostly focused on family-based immigration, although there are also specific sections for the diversity Visa lottery, military-based immigration, and other less numerically frequent forms of immigration. The visajourney website also has a section for work nonimmigrant visas, but not one specifically for employment-based immigrant visas.

Apparently a distinction is being asked for.

Are we suggesting to split that forum (it covers both immigrant and non-immigrant work visas).

Maybe add the employment-based immigrant visa category as a subforum?  Should probably audit the existing forum to estimate the potential traffic in a new subforum.  The entire Work Visas forum seems to be one of the more lightly trafficked forums now.

When you read the posts in the adjustment of status forum you are referring to, you realize that it's mostly composed of posts by people who were on work visas and are undergoing marriage-based immigration.  Also, it of course does not include folks immigrating from abroad on employment-based visas.

In terms of being lightly trafficked, that's why I mentioned the DV subforum and I believe I saw TPS and military. Are those also more heavily trafficked than work?

But if this is and issue, though, should the work section actually be  "employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas" do those who followed paths similar to mine know for sure where they should be posting? The problem with being in the same subforum as family-based aosers is you end up with a lot of irrelevant information,  quite a deal of misinformation,  and even some nastiness.

This is the work visa forum description:

"Discussion on Work based visas to the USA. H1B, H2A, H2B, H4, L1, L2, O, P1, P3 and Q1 Visas. Hundreds of thousands of people enter the US each year and may even choose to immigrate to the US."

it is not clear that it is also intended to cover employment-based immigration.
