Hello po!

I paid the visa fee today, i thought after that we can make a future appointment interview but we need to wait until the Embassy status went "ready". The lockdown will be over in May 15 in Manila where i need also to attend my Med Exam in St. Luke's, but can we make an advance appointment or just NO until the lockdown is over? Because the Phi Embassy site it said we can make an appointment but the agency who work our papers told us to wait. Im just curious.

p.s the US Embassy in manila has no updates in their site thats why i asked here soo if someone here knows something pls give me info. Thank you.

If the system is open and appointments are available,  you don't need to wait

YMMV

Visa expiration date is tied to the medical exam date, so doing the medical exam too early can cut you time you have to enter on the visa. Let's say you do the medical exam now, and it takes 3 months to get a interview. Your Visa is only good for 3 months then. Most people wait until they have the interview appointment then do the medical exam 7-10 days before the interview, so they have the maximum amount of time to use the K1 visa. But the choice is yours. Worst case is you do the medical exam now, and it takes 5 months to get a interview, by the time you get your passport back you may only have a few weeks to get to the US.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I agree, before the said extension of lockdown in Manila, St. Lukes where all visa med exam had update on when to open but when duterte  extended until May 15 now St. Lukes updated they are temporarily close with no date when to open. I guess that is also what our agency's idea we need to make everything to be followed in closer time of medical and interview because the Embassy will only going to reschedule your appointment twice and so we dont wanna waste time.

Thank you for your response.

You're welcome. I believe you can only get the medical exam done at St Luke's in the Philippines, there isn't multiple options like in other countries, so I am sure the embassy works with the hospital on this. I don't think they will start scheduling interviews until people are able to get medical exam done. I know the US government isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but they are usually pretty good about doing things as smoothly as possible.

Exans are at St Luke's clinic (not to be confused with St Luke's hospital).  Medicals are walk-in any open day, so no worries about being able to get a medical before the interview

Yes only in St. Lukes. I hope like i hope after May 15 we could atleast move slow. I know there are delays but they said K1 is not affected soo i wish it will be okay after the lockdown. :)
