Update- We received the e-notifications via text last night.  Today, I saw they cashed our check.  I'm expecting the NOA1 to arrive by mail any day.  Very relieved...I was starting to go crazy.

Hi there I have mailed my AOS application on 20th February 2020 at 4 pm, my mail was delivered on 23rd feb 2020 at 8pm... i received mail(i 797 notice of action) from uscis on 7th March 2020.

I received my package returned, with a 'Rejection Notice' saying that I used the 'Outdated version' of the form I-485. Everything was returned with 3 rejection notices. They have the mentioned to full

Did they process your fee?

AOS via F-1 

  • Feb 3, 2020 - Application received
  • March 5, 2020 - Biometrics completed
  • March 19, 2020 - RFE requested
  • April 20, 2020 - Response to RFE received
  • April 27, 2020 - EAD expedite requested, evidence requested and submitted
  • April 28, 2020 - Request for additional information received
  • April 28, 2020 - New card is being produced!!
  • May 1, 2020 - Courtesy letter about medical exam received
  • May 5, 2020 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview
  • October 19, 2020 - Interview scheduled notice
  • November 10, 2020 - Interview date
  • November 12, 2020 - AOS approved

I have rechecked the address many times 🤣 due to paranoia that it went elsewhere! 
 
I telephoned them yesterday and she searched my A number but couldn’t find anything and said that I need to wait 30 days and then call. 

Don't worry, it will be processed. I believe they process at the lockbox , so we get a delayed response. I had to go through the same wait time.

My guess is many people tried to send their packages out before the new forms and public charge rules became active (Feb 24th). MAYBE USCIS got piles of cases. Plus now we have the virus.

 

Fingers crossed for us! I will update it once I got any notice.

I mailed mine off March 6. The entire package was returned April 16th. We used an outdated form. So we sent everything back, and it arrived to the Chicago lockbox last Thursday
