Hi everyone!

I have been under administrative processing for more than a year and I haven’t heard anything back yet. We have postponed our wedding multiple times but it’s been too long now and we want to get married. What will be the process of getting married during the administrative process?

Step 1:  Legally marry

Step 2:  Read teh spousal visa guides here on VJ.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Before you jump ship maybe a little more push on your part can move this along. Here are two options. I'd do them in order.

1. Involve your congressional representative. A Senator is a good place to start. Choose one and go with it.  There are other avenues and this is a good read to learn what others have done.

2. Sue the government.

Good luck and return here and report your progress in what you did and what were your results.
