As stated above, nothing much to worry about. Just make sure your mention it and include the documents. (assuming you haven't filed yet)

Besides, you're going to Norfolk, this is Hampton roads baby, this is what we call Tuesday evening. The only question you should get is "why did you not counter sue"😎

Hahahaha! Thanks for the chuckle!

Nope, haven’t filed yet. I expect to soon but will get the documents first. If they ask why I didn’t counter sue, I’ll just smile and in my best Canadian/Appalachian hybrid accent I’ll say ‘oh sorry! I forgot!’ 😁

Hey you can't leave a review but maybe we can ;)

I never thought of that!! The place is called Chilhowie Pizza, but you can apparently look up their health inspection records and recent customer reviews and see they’ll likely go away soon anyway. :)

This is completely insane! I agree with the other poster - I am surprised the attorney did not offer to counter-sue. They could have ruined your life all over a miscommunication of where to deliver A FREAKING PIZZA! You clearly did not mean to defraud them since you ordered and paid for a replacement pizza.

When you submit your application for citizenship online, you can attach extra documents. Type out a letter explaining exactly what happened to give the officer some background. That's what I did since I had a traffic ticket from like over 10 years ago.

Damn - this is insane. I can't believe this happened to you. Hope this doesn't bring you any more hardship.

If the charges had stuck (even though I paid everything) and I had to return to Canada, my criminal record THERE would have been worse.  Canada does not differentiate between misdemeanor and felony, so I'd be an accountant with a fraud charge on my record.  Not cool, right?  I'd never be able to work in accounting ever again ANYWHERE in North America, which is a major problem!

Thanks for the tip on adding extra documents - I'll definitely do this.  I appreciate the help!!

LOVE it!!  🤣 I'll definitely keep everyone posted.  May even post a picture of our celebration pizza (because you KNOW that's going to have to happen now)!  Undoubtedly, in Norfolk it'll be WAAAAY better pizza than what caused the problems to begin with, lol.

Yes - over PIZZA.  Lol.  It was gross pizza too!  Their health department score is typically 35/100, but we did not know this at the time of the order.  The more you know...

You DO!!  Fellow Winterpegger, too - right? :)
