Hello fellow VJ members!

Hope you're all well. Can anyone who has received their packet 3 or has finished their K-1 process can share some insight on what exactly packet 3 looks like, if there's a checklist what is stated. Also, does the packet 3 get sent to the petitioner or the beneficiary? Any thorough information will greatly be appreciated. I want to make sure I have everything set so I don't delay anything.

Thank You!

I know it's sent to the petitioner. I quoted my own post with a link to the answer.

Here is what I have:

For your Embassy there is information here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Algeria&cty=Alger

The fiancé(e) K-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen. The K-1 visa permits the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) to travel to the United States and marry his or her U.S. citizen sponsor within 90 days of arrival. You can learn more about fiancé(e) visas on usvisas.state.gov.

  1. Once your file is received at post, an instruction package will be sent to you by email.
  2. First you need to pay the visa fee at one of Aramex offices, and then you have to register and schedule a K-visa appointment through the online appointment system at
    www.ustraveldoc.com/dz.
  3. Assemble the required documents that are listed on the instruction package.
  4. Schedule a medical examination with the Embassy-approved physician in Algiers at least 15 days before your visa interview
  5. If the visa is issued, your passport and documents will be available in approximately 7-10 business days at Aramex office that you already selected for pick up or delivery.
  6. If the visa is refused, the Consular Officer will provide you with further information.

https://dz.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.
