Alternative options for k1 visa income requirement not met. What to do next??

1) Find a suitable income source, second job, etc.

2) Use assets, if available.

3) Find a co sponsor.

Find a better job or second job.   You can get a co-sponsor.

Back when I was going through the process I worked 2 jobs to be able to be comfortably over the income requirements.

We have no co sponsor so second job and assets is the only option

Hopefully you are at a consulate that takes assets. Plan on 3x I-864p for K1 and 3x 125% of I-864p for adjustment.

From a practical standpoint, how do you plan to live in the US?

He has a job but had to cut hours so he can finish his masters program. Iam currently in a carribbean medical school still financially sponsored by my parents.. i already have a biology degree from the us and already have a job lined up with a company i did  my internship with in the us.. The problem is the last year he cut the hours cause it affected his earnings

Are you sure a K-1 is the right visa for you? The beneficiary won't be able to work for ~4-7 months. <Edit: Note this is  after getting married and filing for AOS> The same applies for being able to drive in several states.

A lawyer can't change acceptance of assets by the CO.

What consulate? Checking out the regional forums may tell you if they generally accept assets or not.

I have to do my USMLE exam prep first so i plan on working after like 8 months anyways. K1 because bride price has to be paid first( african thing). All my finances r taken care of by my parents so not in a hurry fr work. 

Now second question iam in the carribean been here for over a year now can i have my interview here or do i hv to go to africa.

Gotcha.

The spousal process could still do the bride price...many on this website have gone through the process with a spousal visa and done so. But it sounds like wanting to work right away is not on the table anyway ("already have a job lined up" implied otherwise to me).

 

You can interview wherever you have legal residence (permanent or temporary) or citizenship. So no need to return to your home country.

Lol not in a hurry to work cause the job is on the condition that i pass my medical licensing exam which i hv to study and prep for probably will take me months en hopefully pass it. I was trying to say we will be if at all we able to pass this giant pickle but i see your point though 

 

 After paying my bride price and other weird traditional stuff i dont want to put more strain on him financially by flying his family to africa for the wedding. If we use spousal he has to fly his family to africa as well am just trying to make my family pay some expenses indirectly

If you can't meet the requirements of a I-134 or I-864 a lawyer isn't going to help.
