Translation of documents

Hello VJ Friends,

2 questions regarding translation of documents:

 

1) is it standard for officially translated document to say "I hereby certify that I have made the above translation fro a copy of the original document in Portuguese and that the same is a true and accurate translation to the best of my knowledge and ability"?

 

2) must all original documents from another country have an Apostille of the Hague Convention stamp in the back?

Each country has a different way of convention of certifying the doucment. In the US they most look for official letter head as the convention for documents.

 

2) not necessary. it depends on what documents you are submitting. i believe the Hague convention is used for documents related to  adoption of children cases. its too ambiguous to answer this question cause your questions are brief
