Hi, my case left NVC on 30 March and it's still "in transit" to the Hong Kong consulate office. It seems to take longer than normal, but I assume it is normal under the current crisis. @Greenbaum do you have P3 for Hong Kong? Thank you!

My consulate is in Singapore and my shipment left on 31 Mar. Like you, it is still in 'in transit'. I thought I was alone because there are other ppl I chatted that has theirs on 'ready'.

P3 letter for Hong Kong embassy interview

Spend some time at the HK US Embassy website and read up on what the requirements are and what is next. Here is the link: https://hk.usconsulate.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/ and

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/hk/K1 Visa Instructions 15Mar2018.pdf

Spend some time in the sub forums for China/HK found here. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/  There are many experts that can help you along. Most here in this forum are trying to get their arms around their own process and have very little knowledge for HK.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

You are updated on that! Is it "normal" for our status to be 'in transit' for 11 days now? Because I remember reading of your posts stating that there's  an electronic and hard copy of your case forwarded to the respective embassy when some members here had their status changed to ready the following day after 'in transit'. Thank you @greenbaum! :)

my consulate is Mumbai, India. my case status shows ready. but after my case number there is written 01 BMB. what's that?

Do you have any K-2's on the application? If you do then it means you are number 1 and others will be 02, 03 etc. Nothing to be concerned about.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Yes. No concern. Please be sure to update your profile. It helps us to answer your questions as each embassy is different and processes are not the same. Following my instructions, it will take you all of five minutes to complete. Thanks

I have only my fiance' on our application, yet we also have an "01 & 02" that list "ready" - how is that possible?

Can you post a picture of the form without your personal information? Then, I will be able to reply. Because right now I am a little confused.

That is how a K-2 is listed. Did you list any children even a child that would not go with you to the US?

Try calling NVC and see what they can tell you. In the end, I don't think this is going to amount to anything.

Circle back once you have an answer and let us know what it is. Thanks.

Right - but we aren't applying for any children at this time.  Will follow up.

Thank you!

Thank you!

But.... if you listed them on the application whether your intent was to have them immigrate or not, they will be considered "applying" for a visa. So, I am still not understanding, are there children listed in the I-129f?

He has 3 children and the K1 asks for all info regarding them, so I listed everything - but they also ask on every form if they were included in those traveling with the petitioner and I said NO every time, including the DS160 after I saw the 01 & 02.  I'm not too worried, just didn't understand why they were confused.
