Hello,

Is there anyone that has experience in France sending the K1 visa packet (if hopefully approved at Interview tomorrow) to southern France, specifically Nimes area, with all the strikes currently going on, would this delay it? Is it better to send to family in Paris and go and pick it up from them?

Packet with passport, visa etc...

Appreciate any response

thanks

jay

I'm confused. Why must a visa be post to another location. This is too important document to let a postal system that is in disarray or a country to trust sending it to someone use one of the postal systems. It's best to a family member pick it up and you retrieve it from them. Do what you think will lessen your exposure to losing the visa in transit.

There is nothing from you (petitioner) that is required to be original. So scan and email and print in France. Done!

Thanks, I already went over to Paris to get the original documents to her. I didn't realize this I went to Paris on the weekend Bring my birth certificate, signed affidavit of support, signed letter of intent etc. I meant,  What address we should use after the interview?

From my original post I miss read your intent and hence the reply. I just now went in and updated it to reflect the "real" question. Sorry.

I would just put her address, not someone else's . UPS delivered it to me next day after it said "Issued", the strikes are not as bad now and it's mainly people living in Paris who are affected by this (because no subway, tram etc.. ) , I don't believe it has any impact on UPS services.
