Congrats I would continue doing both  The CR1 is what we went with because he recieves his green card when he gets here. Less paper work to do when he gets here and the CR1 is cheaper. All the best with your choice.

Agreed- I think CR-1 is much better (and yup, cheaper) since when you get it, you're set for the next 2 years (unless you've been married longer, then you're set for I think 10 years). But then again it's up to you my friend!!! :time:

Good luck, L.

I'm certain this gets explained several times a week but since last fall, the option of continuing the CR1 path when both the I-129F and I-130 are approved at the same time, for all practical purposes, DIED. Now, if you want a CR1 visa, you do NOT file an I-129F. Those who file both I-130 and I-129F petitions almost always end up having them married up and approved the same day. Then the I-130 is held for use with the AOS. Only if one clearly states with the petition (and they actually notice it) that they wish Consular processing, will the I-130 be forwarded to NVC. Otherwise you can file an I-824, pay an additional $200 and wait nobody can predict how long for the I-130 to move again.
