It's possible they can let you through. Its more likely not unless you have zero support system here in Canada including inability to get home nursing staff etc.  

 

Just be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best.  However one thing thats REALLY  important to remember with montreal.  If your spouse can show domicile, even 1 day before interview, that is better than trying to get through the AP after interview which can take an unknown period of time but I have personally seen from 1 week to 8 months after sending the evidence, leaning towards the later timeline for domicile.

I see that you have posted about domicile in the separate domicile thread. That will be helpful for you as many people who have gone through the experience or are going through it post there.  Also you can decide what is best for your family once you have all the information.

I'm sure some people have had success with the latter, but it is uncommon (Edit: or at least less common).

 

Ugh, I wish people who haven't been through the process wouldn't say things like this. There's a whole thread dedicated to Montreal and domicile as you know and the majority are successful once they understand what is required.

Just seen a lot more denials due to domicile based on intent than success cases. I'm not saying it can't be done.

I have reviewed that thread. The last success story I saw on it was over a year ago (unless I missed one? it's a long thread, sorry).

In the last year there have been 2 success stories and one 221g. The thread is so long because people (sometimes the same people) ask the same questions over and over again. Also a commonality with the forums is people not coming back to post success stories.

Not everyone cares to help others as they've been helped. Thankfully VJ has many of the opposite.

Sad reality of people not helping like they e been helped.  I’ll be around on this forum a lot for the next 2.5 years as that’s when we’re hoping to move by! As my husband will transfer back over in two years to the states.  (We decided he will go first Once we hit the NVC stage and start his new position , and buy our house down there before the interview).
