Greetings Visa Journey members!  Just got my NOA2 approval (10 Jan 2020)...does anybody know what the current waiting period is for cases from the Nebraska Service Center to arrive at NVC?

it can take 30 to 60 days before your case is sent to NVC.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

2/27/2020: Combo Interview (ROC and Citizenship)
3/31/2020: submitted service request for being pass normal processing time
4/7/2020: Card being produced
4/8/2020: Approved
4/10/2020: Card mailed
4/15/2020: 10 year green card received

5/21/2019: Filed Online
5/21/2019: NOA1 Date
6/13/2019: Biometrics Appt
2/27/2020: Citizenship Interview
4/7/2020: In queue for Oath Ceremony to be scheduled
6/19/2020: Notice Oath Ceremony scheduled

Follow the case creation tracker to see the dates they are working on. Every Monday they update. It moves up a week.

Yes I agree, follow the tracker as when you call, its the answer given. Mine was received Dec 11th and hopefully this week I get a case number, I called friday and was given the answer of we are currently working on cases from Dec 4th. Based on your receipt I would guess will be about 30 days for you as well.

Many thanks to all!  This gives me a good insight as to how NVC does things....I think I will be calling them a lot once they receive my case from USCIS....I hope in about 30 days!

5 days for me from Nebraska too. Dec 6 online was updated to case was sent to dept of state, after a week I tried to call and they've received it on Dec 11.

Hi Hilde...any update of your package?  Have they issued you a number yet? 

 

I am guessing since my NOA2 was 10 Jan, I won't start calling until mid-late Feb.  Thoughts??

Hello to All!  UPDATE:  Today (24 Jan 2020) I received an automatically generated e-mail from USCIS saying "On 24 January 24, 2020, we sent your case, Receipt Number???????, to the Department of State for visa processing."  Will there be any notification when NVC receives my package....either by USCIS or NVC?

I have not received a case number yet. On Jan 21 they were up to Dec. 18. So from my math, I think it will be another 2 weeks.

OK, this is good news. This means that USCIS sent your case to NVC.

The next step is waiting to see when NVC receives this. For me, this was 30 days after USCIS submitted and I only got the information because I called NVC (annoying to get someone on the line).

Now I am waiting for the case number.
