Good morning,

Has anyone been in AP longer then three months for Egypt? My husband has his interview Nov13th and they stated that he is approved, but I needed to re-upload my W2s because I took pictures of them and submitted them, with that being said they could not print them. I scan the docs in and submitted them Nov 13 America time and they  received the Docs on Nov 19th according to the visa center. BUT we are still in AP waiting for my husband to send his passport. Can anyone give me insight on how long they waited?

Have they requested his passport?

YMMV

I'm not sure why you keep saying that it's been almost 3 months; it has not. It hasn't even been 2 months yet.

If you search the timelines in this website, you'll see that AP can be pretty lengthy for Egypt.

No. On January 13th it will have been 2 months. The process is long because of many reasons, like background checks, plus the fact that there are many others applying as well. I know it's hard, but try to be patient.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

11/13/19 was < 8 weeks ago.  Not sure where you're getting the 3 months from, but AP for Egypt/MENA can be lengthy.
