I just called the NVC and after 4 weeks,i was given the case number and the Invoice number. Just wanted to ask, can i go ahead and pay the fee for the DS-160 and start finding dates lets say 2 to 3 months ahead or wait till it get to Ghana embassy first.

And what piece of information would she need when she is going to pay for the DS-160 please

Any insight would be really helpful because i dont want the case to expire then we have to go through back and forth to have it brought back to Active status.

You can track the case on ceac.state.gov
Your case may ship in two weeks.

I’d wait till the case is at the embassy before paying for the DS-160. She’ll need to have the confirmation page when she goes to pay the fee.
It seems that there are no dates right now. Hoping February will open up soon. Last time I checked it wasn’t.

Yeah go ahead and fill out the DS-160 and pay the fee at the bank. Then you can create a profile and schedule a date. As of now, there are no appointments available. We're all just waiting.

I would recommend checking for the appointments around midnight or night time, I'm not sure where u are located but that's how I got my appointment.
