I 134 Forms

I was just reading in this site that the I should not send the I-134 with my I-129F application. That it should be sent to my fiancee to take with him to the interview. I just can't believe I have to divulge so much personal financial information to someone who is not yet my husband. Can't a girl have any secrets? I've never told any man I've been married to just exactly WHAT I have and how MUCH. Why start now...

Does anyone have any experience with sending the I-134 along with the I-129F? My fiancee will be having his interview in Cairo Egypt. Does anyone know if that embassy asks for the him to bring it with him or if they will get it along with the package from Nebraska? I'd really rather send it to the directly.

It's bad enough I have to tell Big Brother/Uncle Sam every thing I have...

Thanks!

That is correct. It is unfortunate (for some I guess) that they have to divulge so much information. However, if you want your fiancé here...it is the only way.

He will need to take the I-134 with him to the interview. Packet 3 will tell him precisely what he needs for the interview.

You're kidding right?

Take another look at the instructions for the I-129f (and/or the Guides on this site) - they say nothing of the I-134 being sent with the petition. The I-134 is completed by the USC and sent to the foreign fiancé once the petition has been approved. Your embassy/consulate will ask for this and other forms to be sent/brought to the interview.

I wish you well

Check with the consulate, some will let you send the I-134 directly to them for the interview, with NVC case number noted on it.

That is correct. Furthmore, you do not need to divulge all you have on the I-134. If your income alone is sufficient, you can ignore all the rest of the information requested. You need not disclose any assets whatsoever. Perhaps you would be comfortable enough disclosing just your income to your fiance? It is important that the I-134 and supporting information be as current as practical at interview time. For instance, if you haven't filed your I-129F yet, you may well need to provide the 2007 tax return. Hopefully your file will be long gone from the USCIS before the end of 2007.

Maybe I am wrong in saying the following, but I will anyway. You are engaged to this man and you will be getting married. What kind of private information are you planning on keeping from him? When you say "I just can't believe I have to divulge so much personal financial information to someone who is not yet my husband"...hmmm, you sound like you maybe are not sure about things?

I couldn't imagine holding information from my fiancee, but that is just me I guess.

diito. anyways, with with the I-134 you don't need to divulge more personal financial information than you need to meet the income requirements. you can simply use your earnings from your employment if that meets the requirements. I didn't list any assets in my I-134.
