How many years of tax returns is needed for the embassy to look at?

2 will be okay, 3 will be the best... good luck on your journey 😊

they usually ask for 3.  When I went for my fiance's interview, they only looked at the most recent year, but do take 3 just in case.

Thanks guys one last question do I needs to take the W-2 along with the returns?

If they are available, yes.. better to be safe than sorry.. and all the pay stubs too, preferably the last 6 months. Some even bring Certificate of Employment and Compensations. The rule of thumb is to be ready with the docs IF and WHEN they ask for them. If they don’t, then good. If they do, and you don’t have them with you...

Since you'll be providing the IRS tax transcript, you don't need to worry about W2s.  The transcript has ALL the information from every document you file with your taxes.

but you may bring W2 as extra per your choice. doesn't hurt, the more the merrier. they will most likely take the transcript though.
