So you are fine with ABC and CBS treating their whistleblower like they did?  Btw, I have no issues with whistleblower laws with one exception, they should not be able to hide behind the curtain as everyone has the right to confront their accusers.

Well a he is not a whistle blower he is a leaker, b I don't know how he was treated but organizations have the right to NDA and employment terms being honored, c whistleblowers start the investigation process, they do not serve as the " accuser", the evidence will be considered apart from the whistleblower .  d if you cannot protect the confidentiality of a whistleblower, why would they ever come forward? e Is the impeachment process a criminal proceeding?

You are right, the impeachment process is a total partisan political process, but then you could apply your points a and b to the so called whistleblower that kicked off this political process.  As to maintaining anonymity, the laws are in place to protect a person’s professional status, but if someone feels something is so important, it needs to be reported, then they should not be afraid of taking credit for it.
