Hello all!

My fiancé had his interview on 29 October and was passed; consulate officer took his passport and other docs needed and gave him a white paper with instructions for pick up at the DHL; HOWEVER when I go to the website indicated it’s not really saying much . Right now it says passport still at embassy/consulate...will this later change to AP? As I have heard many people speak of going on administration processing for a few days and for others months..

It takes time for the website to update.

Yes, it will most likely change to Administrative Processing; the time there varies from case to case.

The status that you are waiting for is Issued. It means that your K-1 Visa, needless to say, has been issued.

My fiance got her Passport back in about 30 days (with the k1 visa on it), after the interview they told her she may get it it 10 days but due to holiday season it was delayed, it wasn't mailed though, they call her to come pick it up. to check on the status your fiance should call the embassy where he had the interview.
