I'm  US citizen and  wanted to start petition for my mother who has valid US B visa and she has been here several times. I was told that I can apply for GC and AOS at the same time while she is here in the USA. I'm new here and totally lost :(, I don't even know from where I should start. I'd like to thank you all in advance.

She is planning to visit as soon as next month. So I'm thinking to wait until she is here to start, just wanted to get heads up.

She cannot use a nonimmigrant entry with a preconceived plan to circumvent the immigration process.

You will start by petitioning for her using the i130 and she will interview abroad.   Takes about a year

YMMV

Now, what should I do to start petition for her?  Just I130 form and birth certificate with here name on it, I guess.

The i130 has a full set of instructions and this site also had guides regarding process and required evidence

She can not enter on a non-immigrant visa with the intent to adjust her status - that is fraud.  Make sure you have a plan for providing health care for your mother once she immigrates.

Thank you for the information,  so her visit and petition for her are completely separate process, aren't they?!

Yes, they are. The B1/B2 Visa is a non-immigrant visa. Your mother wants to migrate.
