Hi- we're completing our AOS paperwork and are having trouble with the i94. When we go to retrieve the i94 from the website- it shows an i94 from 2 years ago. In the travel information section it does list his arrival to the US a month ago. We have tried reaching out to CBP various ways with no luck. Is a copy of the i95 arrival stamp enough for our application? And perhaps including a print out of the travel information from the i94 website?

Strange.

This is not uncommon and everyone else who has this problem (there are many) is fixed with a simple phonecall and within a few minutes. You can search this website even for the same explanation.

Perhaps you are not calling/emailing your LOCAL deferred inspection site as posted in the link?

Perhaps you are not explaining your situation for them to understand it or are contacting the national number/email?

Go to your local deferred site if you have no luck on the phone at your local site.

Shouldnt have to though.

As a stroke of luck, I work at a college and happened to be going over our international student handbook which had this tip for i94s- If you have more than one last name, play around with the combinations to see if it shows up. It worked for us!

Keep in mind that your name on the I-94 must match your passport. So if something is missing, you still need to get it fixed.

This is correct.

So even if you found your I-94 under a name that does not match your passport, you will have to get it fixed.

In our case, my husbands I-94 was put in under a mistyped last name. Like two letters off, we had to go into the deferred inspection station at our airport and get it changed by the officer inside. They needed his passport to complete the change, which could be why they won't do it over the phone, they needed to verify his identity in person.

Mine was fixed through their online form. I sent a copy of my passport and Visa and they fixed it right away.

Ours was weird too, my husband is Palestinian but was born in Lebanon, his passport country of issuance is Lebanon for all Palestinian refugees. His travel history shows under Lebanon, but his I-94 info only show up if i put Palestine. so weird but whatever. it works. we got our green card without trying to fix it.

Thanks everyone for chiming in- I think this thread will be helpful to others that find themselves in what appears to be a fairly common predicament.
