Hi,

Regarding the Intent to marry letter. Is this verbiage sufficient or are they looking for something else with the I-129F? I've read people sending in a similar letter and getting a RFE. I understand we need a letter from both of us.

I, (applicant’s or beneficiary’s name), do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s or beneficiary’s name), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

Thanks.

Hi!

Almost the same question here. Do I need to verify my signature with local notary in Russia or should I sent simple none verified original to my fiance in US?

Thanks in advance!

No notorial required

YMMV

Since that is almost verbatim as the VJ Example Letter of Intent, I would say that it should work, it worked for us and likely thousands of others. B-)

HMMM.... I don't see anywhere in the instructions of a signature notarization requirement:

Quote
  1. Intention to Marry Within 90 Days of Entry. Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e)’s entry as a K-1 nonimmigrant. Evidence of your intention to marry may include statements of intent to marry signed by both you and your fiancé(e) or any other evidence that establishes, by a preponderance of the evidence, your mutual intention; and

YMMV

Good luck on your immigration journey.
