Any update
Pd nov 2019
dq in dec 22 waiting for IL?
Thank you

You should be receiving something by now, according to the consulate website "as of July11,2023 most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in April 2023". Of course that this would be the case only if your priority date is before September 2020, which yours is.

If you see any progress in your case you could update here if you like: here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1phSTiwuIBzBBDGDSwBTgA6iwPt6vhWgd_JQWlHoj7vE/edit#gid=0

If the spouse is eligible to apply for citizenship, that's a good option. But if the spouse is going to apply for naturalization right now, the whole process can take anywhere between 8 months to more than 1 year.  It takes more time now, we cannot say for sure. Only after they get the naturalization certificate, then only they can request NVC to upgrade from F2A to IR1. Also if there was kids under F2A category, then once you get citizenship, the process might get complicated. I would better suggest a lawyer for more info if there are kids involved in your F2A category.

In the meantime, if we wait till October, there is a possibility that the Priority dates becomes current under F2A category. Let's hope and pray for the best.

Once the category changes to IR1, there wont be a huge wait time, maybe 1 or 2 months. You will get priority.

No way of knowing unfortunately, it may go back to the date that was in July’s bulletin when October rolls around. But unlike other categories (EB-1) the August bulletin doesn’t specifically say it expects that to happen in Oct.
