Passport submitted after 221g still in Administrative processing

Hello! good day!

My mom went to her interview in Juarez Mexico but the consular officer handed her a blue paper 221g asking for more documents. We sent them but after 2 weeks we received the same 221g paper asking for another document which we sent as soon as we could. I called 4 days ago to ask for information after 2 months of the last request and they said they had in the system that in order to continue with the case we have to send her passport. We send it that same day and arrived the next day. 1 day after they received it they updated the system in CEAC but still appears in "Administrative processing ". I was wondering what does it mean that they asked for the passport? Is it a good sign that her green card will get approved? But why is her case still in administrative processing?

Thank you

Hello, we were crushed today when my fiancé received a 221g because they said my divorce decree wasn’t an original. The rapid visa people had specifically said a photocopy was all that was required but I thought it was the original because it was given to me by the court. Turns out, you can’t get an original from the courthouse but you can get a certified copy. On our 221g letter, it states only the divorce decree and her passport needs to be returned with a free return courier service provided by the interviewer.
I explained all of that to ask you how long it took for the embassy to process your 221g?  Did it take a whole month?  She interviewed at Ciudad Juarez.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we were crushed thinking we had a super clean packet.

Thanks!

Not the first or last time Rapidvisa has made a mistake like that.

There is no set time for them to process the submission.  Hopefully it will get processed soon.

The officer who interviewed my now husband, never specified if we needed to send his Mexican passport and on our 221G it was typed in but it was too blurry to read. We took a chance and sent it in with my long birth certificate. Turned out for the best
